A spin out from our cottage in Ardgay, just south of Bonar Bridge, where we're staying for the week. With E ill, today's activities were curtailed to base, which meant that I got out on the bike and Beccy got out with Jamie later. As usual, I bit off a bit more than I could chew! Was fine for the first 40km but ran out of juice shortly thereafter (water? food? um) and crawled home. Nice and quiet roads; I'd hit the 30km mark before seeing my tenth car! TRIMP 166.5.

I had 20 minutes before dashing to school - 6 x 2/1 turbo intervals on the Elliptigo seemed to be the best of those minutes. Freezing in the garage, wore my puffer and hat until the end of the first rep! TRIMP 40.5.

Training to train. Time to put the knee out there and start trying to run again, starting with very short sessions and gradually ramping things up without exacerabating things again. It still doesn't feel right - it feels 'tight' or 'thick' when I do a full squat, as if it's still swollen - but that hasn't gone away in nearly five months, so maybe it's the new norm.
Anyway, a very short scoot up the hill and back down again. Seemed OK afterwards; if it stays that way tonight/tomorrow then I'll try the same again. TRIMP 35.2.
