Running (Trail run) 37:44 intensity: (26 @0) + (6 @1) + (2:14 @2) + (14:47 @3) + (20:11 @4) 6.42 km (5:53 / km) +160m 5:14 / km
ahr:150 max:162 (injured) shoes: Salomon Fellraiser

Slippery sluggardly trudge up to and around the Gathering Stane. Really thought that my knee was improving and that a short run would be OK. Wrong. 20 minutes in was enough to kick it all off again. Clearly I need to redefine "short" as well as "run". TRIMP 84.6.

Elliptigo 33:01 intensity: (2:19 @0) + (4:53 @1) + (3:51 @2) + (10:03 @3) + (11:45 @4) + (10 @5)
ahr:142 max:164 (injured) shoes: Elliptigo

Another session, getting to like these in a masochistic kind of way. Again, legs the limiting factor. WU then 2 sets of 3 x 2/1, followed by one set of 1/1. Nice HR graph.

The Marathon tyre on the Go has permanently affected the surface of the turbo spindle :-(. Of course, there's plenty of guff on the web about this when you go and look for it, but it would have been nice to know beforehand. Old (not all-weather) tyre going on the rear wheel later. TRIMP 61.

Elliptigo turbo interval session. Cardiovascular fitness outstripping leg fitness, back to the usual. Would have gone for longer but short of time and cautious after yesterday's blip with my back. TRIMP 52.2.

(injured)

Bad back today - first time for a while, and the first time I've had to resort to the pills for longer. Maybe the strength training immediately after cycling yesterday was the trigger? Damned if you do, damned if you don't...

Cycling (Road) 47:56 intensity: (2:00 @0) + (27 @1) + (4:21 @2) + (28:56 @3) + (11:56 @4) + (16 @5) 19.92 km (24.9 kph) +116m
ahr:146 max:165 (injured)

Road bike with SPD-Ls... knee felt a bit strange early on but no swelling afterwards, just a bit of an ache when I did a few pilates squats, so hopefully no damage. Tail wind on the way out so expected the head wind on the return, and didn't go too far. TRIMP 94.7.
