Note

45 minute TAY Xmas score at Glenalmond School, with Eilidh, in wellies. Not a great deal of running going on early on, but after I started to say that we were on the way back and needed to get in before the 45 minutes were up, things sped up. Shame we missed Santa or we'd have beated Jamie and Beccy, who were only 10 points ahead, thanks to my masterly spaghetti protection skills.
Grand dinner in the school refectory afterwards - another excellent TAY Xmas score, one of the highlights of the orienteering year!

Foul out. Elliptigo turbo intervals - 2 sets of 2/1, with 3 in the middle. Steady rather than eyeballs out. TRIMP 74.5.

Cycling (Road) 45:40 intensity: (1:30 @0) + (48 @1) + (12:09 @2) + (30:17 @3) + (56 @4) 20.02 km (26.3 kph) +159m
ahr:141 max:154 (injured) shoes: Kalkhoff Pro Connect S10

Short road cycle, first since my knee went phut four in the Lakes in October, on the electric bike because that was the only one at home. Battery on to power the lights but not the bike until I was running out of time and switched on the assist a little after Kinbuck on the way back. The bike cycles very nicely without assistance although the battery does weight it down; I should have gone out earlier and thus wouldn't have needed it for the lights. Knee OK but lower back sore. I just can't seem to get a good riding position for my back on this bike. TRIMP 80.8.

ahr:142 max:169 (injured)

Elliptigo turbo pyramid session, with a minor gap in the warm up whilst I fixed the turbo's variable magnet cable. Bit technical for me. Good session. TRIMP 66.3.
