In Ullapool, spotted a path sign pointing to the "hill track" - couldn't resist going for an explore. Footwear decidedly sub-optimal on the muddy bits. Nice viewpoint up Loch Broom! Tootled down to the town and back across the river to the accom. Most pleasant. TRIMP 88.8.

Post-dinner Braco return. Possibly my slowest outward leg ever, as a result of a combination of a strong headwind and a belly full of what could only generously be called "moussaka" (my Mum's recipes are a tad random these days, and I didn't cross-check beforehand, oops) adding a great deal of inertia. The former, at least, contributed to a rare positive split on the return leg, gated only by gear ratios and the final steep pull back up to the house. Thankfully B hadn't drunk all the rehydration fluid (wine) by the time I got back. TRIMP 124.5.

Lunchtime meander around Dechmont CP. Started off on some seldom-visited wiggly trails through the woods, for a change, before heading off on the tour-de-M8. Great view from the top of Dechmont Law - could see all the way to Traprain Law. Felt a bit more like a runner, again, today. TRIMP 89.0.
