MTB adventure with Jase, Fraser and Rupert to the Braes of Doune windfarm. Very rusty on an MTB, and not at all sure that my back would survive the pounding of a rough descent, although in the end it was the long grind up to the windfarm that kicked off the LBP bandwagon. Worth it for the view, though!
The zippy descent along a roughish track from there down to Braco was fun but added to the soreness. Coming back from Braco I realised that I really should have had some food and drink - having eaten nothing since lunchtime - and the tank was on zero. Just about made it back. The steak and bottle of beer didn't even touch the sides. Followed shortly thereafter by some heavy-duty painkillers! I will hurt tomorrow. Thighs still glowing a good two hours after finishing. Er, thanks(?), chaps?!! TRIMP 141.7.
