Still ill, but I needed to get out after an awful lot of time stuck in front of a computer recently - so I went for a gentle pootle out to Ashfield, coming back via the Laighhills and over Holme hill. Muggy and humid, sweat wasn't going anywhere so I was dripping by the end, despite the relatively steady pace; HR probably a bit high thx to the cold. TRIMP 80
Gentle evening spin after a long day in the office and before some more work. Also after a large dinner - and with a sore throat/cold - so not exactly at 100% effort. More like 10%. Back to a large lemsip and some more keyboard grind. TRIMP 65.8.

WEE at Braco - new area, new map with a bit of everything in it. Fun in the lumps and bumps of the Roman fort, a wee bit of urban, wee bit of wood, and then a looooong bit of dirt track. Still feeling very slow and less than great so it was a bit of a trundle all the way tonight, but it was grand to be somewhere new. Some fast-running youngsters! TRIMP 103.1.

Steady (5 mins slower) pootle back on the GO with Fraser, who wanted a gentle spin back to Dunblane before heading off up the Muir to get home - but I suspect that he had an even easier jaunt than expect, and never got out of second gear! Whereas I definitely had to work harder. Which is why I got the thing :-). TRIMP 76.3.
So much for any training - six hours in the car/truck. 3 of which were just trying to get home from Penicuik when the Edinburgh bypass was covered in a lorry load of paper...
