Return of the turgid trundle. Feeling a tad lumpen today. Knee grumbly too. TRIMP 72.1.

Random route - Doune, Thornhill, back towards Stirling on back roads, Corton, BrOfA and up the old Glen Road for a hard finish. Wanted a bit of distance but didn't want a sustained climb, yet - L knee seems to be on the mend but no point hassling it until it's stronger. Loosening the straps on the toe clips seems to have helped. Great way to spend 95 minutes on a Saturday morning. TRIMP 218.8.

A glorious afternoon, and I was feeling pretty good, so I set off at a good lick and hit Braco in 25 minutes. Hmm, must be wind-assisted, which meant a harder return into the wind, but it wasn't actually much of breeze, and my knee seemed OK, so I blattered on along the backroad to Blackford. Things slowed down a bit after that, but I ground it out, and ended up with a pretty good time, and a good workout - legs tired by the end! Six minutes faster than my last effort, and I think that my record on a bike is only six minutes faster again.
Straight out with the BBQ after getting home, then noshing in the garden and rehydrating with a pint of Wales' finest export, Gower Gold: fan-tastic. TRIMP 191.2.
