Dunblane-Inversnaid via Torrie and Aberfoyle. Beccy wanted to check out a site at Inversnaid, so she gave me an hour head start and I set off on the Bertha. Toiled a bit in places, but choosing to go via Torrie was worth the extra effort, and the road from Aberfoyle has actually been improved in places, at last! Good cycle, if a bit chilly. TRIMP 218.6.

Jog on soft trails around Dechmont CP in Livingston.
After the best part of a year, during which time my back has had plenty of rest, I'm fairly confident that I've worked out what sort of things I can do - and how regularly I can do them - without causing a flare up of LBP that sets me back several weeks. I'd like to start trying to introduce some very limited soft-terrain "running" again, maybe once or (suck teeth) twice a week, so today was a first step in that direction. I'll just have to take it carefully and see how everything reacts. Early days; very slow pace, just a jog, really, and frequent pussy-footing around boggy bits, but you have to start somewhere.

For the next couple of weeks it's light enough in the morning to chance a cycle to work - so I dusted off the electric bike and headed off. Chilly, but I was well (over!) dressed. All tickety-boo and a smooth journey, save for having to stop for lots of lollipop ladies in Falkirk (tsk!!),
TRIMP 140.3.

E-cycling (Road) 32:40 intensity: (3:39 @1) + (14:11 @2) + (10:53 @3) + (3:57 @4) 16.19 km (29.7 kph) +216m
ahr:136 max:164 shoes: Kalkhoff Pro Connect S10

And the downside of the clock change: it gets dark so EARLY! Glad of my bike lights and head torch on the short route over the hill to Linlithgow, where I caught the train.
TRIMP 53.8.
