A truly brutal road cycle from the cottage in Shiskine, after having been out walking with B and the kids. Had great intentions to do a loop around the southern section of the island, heading over the Ross Road and back around the coast, but I rather misjudged the distance and the hilliness of the road; by the time I'd gasped to the summit of the Ross Road, I had to turn around and head for home, or miss out on the roast dinner! Bonked with about 4km to go (really must take food and water with me when I head out for a cycle) and crawled back. But I did make it home before the gravy got cold. :-)

At the hotel gym in Dresden. Not much chance to do any exercise this week apart from lots of walking (about 4 miles per day), with various events going on, but I managed to justify taking my kit by going to the gym at least once. 20 mins cross-trainer and 10 mins cycle (both pretty crap machines), then some time on the multi-gym.
