Up early to cycle to work and actually arrive on time, for once. Lights on for the first 20 mins (winter is a-coming) and notably busier in Falkirk and through the Avon Gorge at this time of day. Not sure I'll want to use this route in the depths of winter. Ha, as if I'll be doing this in winter!

A bit out of sorts today, something wrong with my inner left leg, first noticed on Sunday; not sure if it's back-related or a genuine leg muscle issue.

Hmm, leg definitely not right, so I opted to cut things short and just head over the hill to catch the train in Linlithgow. Left things too late so had to push along, but I still would have missed the train by 2 mins had it not been running 4 mins late! Good job, too, since I was picking up the kids tonight.

Worryingly excessive creaky and knocking noises from somewhere at the front of the bike when I stand up on the pedals. Noted a little click when rotating the pedals, but there's a fair bit more to it, I think; time to get the tools out. So, with Bertha out of action as well, with a broken spoke / bent rear wheel (thanks to the crappy road surfaces hereabouts) I am temporarily without a bike. Poop.
