Running (Terrain) 53:15 intensity: (22 @1) + (1:32 @2) + (28:07 @3) + (23:14 @4) 8.34 km (6:23 / km) +186m 5:45 / km
ahr:149 max:164 (injured) (sick) shoes: Walsh Spirit Peak

Getting really rather fed up with doing nothing so, despite still having a sore hamstring and a headcold, when opportunity presented itself, I chanced a wee run. Headed out towards QVS then up the private road to Landrick, before I turned back then headed north along a track, trying to winkle out a nice route up through the fields and blocks of forest to the Gathering Stane. Failed - just found lots of crap, very tough going, lots of windblow etc. Once I eventually made it up to the Stane it was easy enough, just very very muddy and slippery - should have had full-on hill shoes today!

Hamstring tight and achey to start, eased off a bit whilst running but got tight again later.

Hm, have a cold as well, now. Well, I resisted for a long time, I was the last in the house to get it!

Gym (Cross-trainer) 30:00 [3] 6.33 km (4:44 / km)
(injured) shoes: Asics Gel Cumulus 12

Hit the gym in my hotel in Warwick to try to unwind after a trying drive down the M6. Busy - only a treadmill free - so risked a steady "rolling hills" programme. Hamstring achey, but didn't get worse apart from the ache spreading up into my buttock, so hopefully I got away with it. Felt good to run, even on a machine.

Cycling (Static cycle) 20:00 [2] 9.6 km (2:05 / km)
(injured)

Wee spin on the exercise bike to loosen off my hamstring.
