Out walking in Aberfeldy and Kenmore. I managed to "jog" very slowly some downhill parts of the Birks of A path for ca 15 minutes, with my boots on. Needless to say, my achilles is now aching this evening. Stupid crappy tendon, I'd be better off with a piece of old rope.
Pretty bushed today after only 4 hours sleep and an 0445 start, travelling to Chester. I had two hours' gap between the end of the presentation and the start of the dinner (for which I have to don a toga!) so I hit the hotel gym. Only a few machines but all I wanted was a light workout. 30 mins on "random" effort was good enough to get up a sweat.
"Random" workout. Not so keen on the Lifestyle machine in the hotel gym; not as good a range of motion as the stuff in the uni gym. Better than n'owt though.

Pushed for time tonight - this would have been a 1hr session if I hadn't been so late for picking up Jamie! - so I blasted off hammer and tongs and, boy, was I toiling at the end. Good effort though.
3 sets of a mixed set of exercises
press ups
sit ups, trackers, crunches
back raises
balance & stretching
dumbells
Must get the chin bar put up for pull ups!
Back on the TT. Longer intervals today: 6 x 4 mins, 2 mins between reps. 4 mins warm up. Toiled a bit, can't seem to get the old HR up quite as high on long reps on the bike as I can on the short ones - probably because I know that if I don't pace myself I'll keel over and brain myself on the dining room table. Very very sweaty.
Oooh aaah those core muscles. I was nominally calling the shots tonight but it was really a group effort to remember what we were supposed to do! It's amazing how three weeks and too much Xmas vino can dull the memory. And the core muscles. Not that we could find them under the many layers of clothing. Good turnout, plenty of New Year resolutions...

A gentle re-introduction this evening: 25/10 and 30/10, with maps to concentrate on in the "10"s. Just about warmed up halfway through the second sett, brrr.
The plyometric workout seems to have helped my achilles - great.
