Elliptigo 56:33 intensity: (1:52 @0) + (35 @1) + (4:16 @2) + (37:19 @3) + (12:31 @4) 23.84 km (25.3 kph) +129m

Another easy jaunt, trying to keep my rubbish back from totally seizing. TRIMP 112.8.

Note

Bad back kept me awake a chunk of the night. On the tablets again! Great timing for France. Not.

Running (Trail run) 30:39 intensity: (18 @0) + (12 @1) + (1:58 @2) + (7:02 @3) + (21:09 @4) 5.64 km (5:26 / km) +156m 4:47 / km
ahr:154 max:164 shoes: Salomon Fellraiser

First run in more than a fortnight. Back niggling - it has been bad since the cold set in, and still isn't happy - so I kept it short. Legs felt OK to start and I was running freely, but tired quickly. TRIMP 74.3.

Elliptigo 55:27 intensity: (54 @0) + (1:05 @1) + (4:07 @2) + (25:09 @3) + (24:12 @4) 24.02 km (26.0 kph) +125m
ahr:150 max:169 shoes: Elliptigo

Braco out and back. First exercise in nearly a fortnight. Legs were incredibly well rested (not surprisingly) and energy levels OK; breathing tolerable, although I coughed away for ten mins or so after I'd finished. TRIMP 124.8.

Elliptigo 2:07:55 intensity: (1:55 @0) + (4:18 @1) + (22:37 @2) + (1:19:13 @3) + (19:28 @4) + (24 @5) 51.49 km (24.2 kph) +400m

This was a struggle. Saw the opportunity to go for a decent long run on the Go in the sunshine before a week interrupted by travel, so off I trundled, but, in retrospect, a piece of toast 90 mins before setting off was probably insufficient fuel, particularly when I was guaranteed to also get very dehydrated in this heat. Started to run out of energy whilst battling into a headwind on the long drag along Langside, and by the time I hit Braco I was spent. Grabbed my one cereal bar there (too late!) and crawled home in zero-energy mode. Just made it back in time to pick up the kids. Cream-crackered. TRIMP 246.9.

Elliptigo 1:49:53 intensity: (36 @0) + (2:28 @1) + (39:50 @2) + (58:46 @3) + (7:49 @4) + (24 @5) 46.26 km (25.3 kph) +341m
ahr:141 max:160 shoes: Elliptigo

Late morning spin out after birthday duties. Not feeling like a hard effort today, so I just rolled along and enjoyed the sunshine. Reasonably sensible (tree-lined) choice of route given that I'd forgotten to put on sun-screen... whoops. TRIMP 199.3.

Cycling (Road) 29:33 intensity: (6:58 @0) + (7:09 @1) + (14:19 @2) + (1:07 @3) 12.49 km (25.4 kph) +141m
ahr:124 max:144 shoes: Specialized Globe Vienna Disc

Back into Stirling to collect the Outback from the garage. Straight there today, no time to play. Spent a lot of time at traffic lights - who'd ride in town, when you had a choice? Left the garage 600 pounds lighter. Didn't even have to go on a diet. TRIMP 32.8.

Cycling (Road) 1:34:20 intensity: (59 @0) + (9:00 @1) + (34:03 @2) + (46:20 @3) + (2:53 @4) + (1:05 @5) 38.66 km (24.6 kph) +471m
ahr:139 max:154 shoes: Specialized Globe Vienna Disc

The long route home after dropping Beccy's car off at Central garage in Stirling for an expensive new timing belt. Lumpy bumpy roads by North Third didn't detract from the pleasure of being out on the bike on a gorgeous morning. TRIMP 160.5.

Orienteering race 45:51 intensity: (18 @0) + (50 @1) + (6:04 @2) + (15:32 @3) + (22:42 @4) + (25 @5) 6.4 km (7:10 / km) +206m 6:10 / km
ahr:150 max:164 shoes: Salomon Fellraiser

Green at Polmaise WEE: 4.6km. Great course, was completely Pol-mazed by #3 and just couldn't see the route into the quarry for #8, so went the long way around. Tons of time lost on those two but otherwise moving pretty well at a steady pace. Grand fun. TRIMP 101.6.
