Jogging 30:00 [2]
ahr:139

Ran to the Murole channel and back from the accommodation. There was one big hill.
STRETCHING 1:00:00.

Free full board at the accommodation of the Austrian army team (+Bindi). Not bad, not bad at all! ;) So it was Kerschi, Markus, Bindi, Wolfi, Thomas, Erik, Max, Richard - and I.

Event: Forssa Games

Orienteering race 35:36 [3] ***

I have never ever run well in Forssa Games. Usually I get very lost or simply just make lots of mistakes. I don't know in which category I should put this year. I was trying to run too fast in the beginning because I felt like crap physically and then the lactate must have gone in my brain and I found myself in the 5th control instead of the 4th control after wondering around in the forest for a while... After finally finding the 4th control I almost couldn't find the 5th control anymore. And then I just decided to save the rest of my strenght for Saturday and jogged the rest of the course.

Running 30:00 [1]
ahr:134

followed by a quick STRETCHING session.
Very stiff. Not good at all. I had a bad day at work too because I got a headache. I felt a bit better in our women's Venla meeting (maybe it was all that pastry and candy and icecream that helped...) but in the evening my head was still aching...

Tomorrow it'll be Forssa Games (WRE). I'm the 3rd starter of 106 women. It should be good preparation for Jukola. After that just relaxing and hanging out with the Austrian army team. And then on Saturday at 14:00 I shall be ready! Top 100 would be nice.

Running 30:00 [2]
ahr:146 max:192

Downhills fast. The same training and route as before the sprint champs.
I felt good! :) But I was a bit drowsy because I went to bed too late last night. I was watching some orienteering videos on Youtube. I had no idea how much orienteering stuff there is there. There were lots of interesting masterpieces, but Thierry's educational videos were the best I found so far. This might become a new hobby...

Flexi-Bar 45:00 [2]

The longer routine. It felt good.

Note
(rest day)

I felt normal already so I went to Suunto Games and worked in the first aid. I'm our taping and binding specialist. We also have 2 doctors (one trauma specialist) and 1 med student. So if you want to sprain your ankle, it's good to do it in Suunto Games! ;)

It was confirmed today that I'll run the 1st leg in our 2nd team in the Venla relay in Jukola. I wasn't originally as excited about it as I was before Tiomila because now I know that I'm not really able to catch the fastest trains. But my team mates trust me to do a good job in the first leg and keep reminding me about how fast I am. That sure feels nice. :)

Note
(sick)

I probably have somekind of a stomach bug. I think I got it from my hippie flatmate, which means that her illness wasn't, after all, caused by the salad she made of leaves she had picked from somewhere in Kumpula. My stomach hurt during the night and I was also a bit nauseous. When I tried to get up in the morning I felt sicker and was soon covered in cold sweat. So I went back to bed...

I was supposed to spend the whole day at Suunto Games (a competition arranged by my club), first checking some controls before the competition and then in the first aid. Luckily they had enough people for those tasks even without me.
