Running 52:30 [3] 10.0 km (5:15 / km)

Sunday evening run with the goal of constructing an interesting loop from Karen’s place. I tried out the Motion-X gps app at the recommendation of Matty S, and sure enough it served up a couple of sets of sneaky stairs easy to see that made for an interesting quiet route down to Balmoral Park. Up the George’s Heights Stairs and around the foreshore past the zoo was always going to be pleasant, but the challenge was always going to be able to close the loop without too much street. I was pleased with what I found after Sirius Cove, a weird long set of steps / grassy bit behind houses thing, that linked nicely for a quiet 2k flat road back to the start. Great loop.

Running 55:00 [3]

Jog from Balmoral to Neutral Bay to collect the car. Never really got going.

Running 1:00:00 [3]

Team lunch ran slowly which meant I had to smash a Schnitty (and pint) quickly to make Friday run with Ondrej, Andy & Bart. Felt shiiiit for the run around Centennial Park, but better after a pint of Balter at Taphouse. Back to work just in time for 2 hours of meetings....and then to find monthly drinks were on. Urgh.

Running 1:00:00 [3]

Schools back which means Tuesday beachy's are on again.

Struggled a bit from Fishermans to Narra & back. Saw some people riding their horses up the beach for the first time ever - pretty sure that's not OK.

Other 50:00 [3]

2k on-off-on. A session that demonstrated the value of a decent warm-up when you haven't run too much the previous week. First km was 3:55 and felt hard. Last km was a 3:30 and didn't feel anywhere near 25s harder. (That says more about how flat I felt in the first one though).
