Orienteering 20:05 [3]
shoes: DS Racer

Aus Sprint at Mandurah. Not warmed up enough by the look of the splits. Ran past 5 and when I turned back Rachel was already punching it, so that was the only time I saw someone on the course. Made the wrong route choice to 12 (left instead of stairs). Could not run aggressively due to distance. Finished OK. Would have been fun to do the close tricky controls with others around. Would have been nice to do them earlier when running harder too.

Run warm up/down 15:00 [3]
shoes: DS Racer

Run and stretching to get left leg moving. Seemed to work well. Probably needed a longer warm up to get rest of system firing though.

Run 30:00 [3] 5.0 km (6:00 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 14

Up to the lookout at Reabold and back down. Took it very easy, walked when I felt like it and enjoyed the views! So peaceful here :)

Legs slightly better than yesterday.

Run 25:00 [3] 4.0 km (6:15 / km)
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 14

Ran home to Nicole's after a lovely sunny play at the Pioneer Womens' wooshies (Hunter's term).

Started out thinking - wow a perfect downhill spin, but really struggled to keep legs moving. A run up the DNA tower included, just to enjoy the views. She-oaks very yellow, but wonderful to run in my dear park.

Did some short sprints and drill type exercises to try and get legs feeling better. It didn't work.

Orienteering 20:00 [3]
shoes: Mizuno Wave Rider 14

Collecting controls - fairly useless (me that is) - still completely unable to master this hillside (start of Day 2). Ridiculously slippy shoes.

Orienteering 53:00 [3]
shoes: Inov8 X talon

Easter Day 3, a better day. Flet really at home just after the start triangle. Slow through the green, but hapy despite looking up at 2 seeing Jasmine not too far behind. Got 3 OK but couldn;t find control (further around rock). Poor route to 4, should have gone higher earlier. Did 5 well and repassed Jasmine ho'd been out of sight on previous. Wonky to 6. Wrong route to 9 (too much climb). Got 10 well and again caught some time back on Jasmine. Completely stuffed 11 and must have gone past it 3 times before finding the control... Rest of course not too bad. The Vanessa/Kathryn/Shannon train came through at 15 but I forgot to jump on and went my own silly way to 17. Was quite annoyed to be bumbling along part way to 17 and hearing them finish.

Normal sleep last night - I think that helped enormously.

Orienteering 1:43:00 [3] 12.7 km (8:07 / km)
shoes: Inov8 X talon

Disaster day. Where to start??? Awful from 1st control. A few decent miniscule parts to the run but on the whole, just plain awful. Not sure what was going on, but whatever could go wrong did, whenever there was a stupid option to take - I was on it, whenever I got back in control I was suddenly out of control again. Need to get brain working.
