Static Stretching & Massage 7:30 [0]

Trying to loosen up the knee and hip flexors.

Core Stability (floor) 25:00 [1]

One-legged bridge a lot easier today :)

Balancing (floor) 8:00 [1]

Strength Training (indoor) 9:00 [0]

Rehab exercises. Lots of step ups and downs, these went ok. Then some lunges, ok at first with the left leg at the front then very quickly painful with it at the back. Went to do some extensions after that but knew it was a bad idea. Still, better than Wednesday.

Walking (road/xc) 51:25 [1] 7.0 km (7:21 / km)
ahr:127 max:154 shoes: k'mor tempo 5 trail - 1st pair

A good knee today for some reason, took advantage of that and went walking/jogging. I can't really say it went well but much better than Sunday for sure.

Drills (track) 10:45 [0] 0.66 km (16:17 / km)
shoes: k'mor tempo 5 trail - 1st pair

Starting to get good at these lower leg drills once more. If I ever can run properly again then at least my dodgy right calf/ankle should be working better.

Rowing (indoor) 50:20 [3] 12.0 km (4:12 / km)
ahr:144 max:173

A bit fed up. Was trying to kick a football around earlier with the kids, just feels so unstable. As my knee seems ok with rowing I took my anger out on it and it worked, felt much happier afterwards.

Nice to know that one can do a proper aerobic session on the rower. If only I had continued the good rowing work in December/January throughout the Winter/Spring. Not all bad though, shouldn't be too long before I've got the strength/stamina in the right muscles to properly substitute running with rowing, at least cardio-wise in any case.

Strength Training (indoor) 2:45 [0]

Tried going back to my rehab exercises. Useless :(

I just don't know what I'm supposed to be doing now. It's so up and down and changeable - was pretty positive last week, getting better each day doing lots of walking, rowing etc. Since Sunday however it's just got worse and worse and now the entire knee cap is tender, more swelling and pain all over it. Even on the left side there is swelling and pain and there was no break there, there is no metal there.

It's time to have a chat with the surgeon again, considering everything that has happened I am wondering if he still thinks we should take these cables out. I don't care what I miss as a result now, this is simply unsustainable as it is.

Nice almost zone 3 avg :)

Core Stability (floor) 22:30 [1]

Hmm, knee definitely stiffening up - harder to do the one-legged bridge exercise today. Otherwise good session.

Left quad stretch difficult today, seem to be losing range of movement. Tried a few dynamic ROM stretches, ow.
