Static Stretching & Massage (static) 13:00 [0]

Quickly through the full set of static stretches. Walking much more normally now.

Note
(injured)

Today was the first time I've actually put weight on my heel since Tuesday and also the first day without ibuprofen.

So did a test - a trip to the supermarket. Tried to walk properly to and from the car and around the shop. It took forever but it actually went ok, not much pain. Feels really strange though, like I have an extra insole in one shoe but not the other. Obviously still quite inflamed.

Note
(injured)

No good, all twisted now. A silly idea to only give the calf muscles attention. Woke up with a dodgy RH hip with twinges going up to the middle of my back.

Time to rest for a few days, then start the peripheral training gradually and evenly.

Yeah. Not good, can't walk. Reasons why one gets plantar fasciitis...

1. Your feet roll inward too much when you walk - N (slightly outward actually)
2. You have high arches or flat feet - Y (high arches)
3. You walk, stand, or run for long periods of time, especially on hard surfaces - Y
4. You are overweight - Y (well no but 6kg more than in the Autumn, can't be helping)
5. You wear shoes that don't fit well or are worn out - Y (280s worn out, 190s don't suit me)
6. You have tight achilles tendons or calf muscles - Y

So as a first step I've given the calf muscles some attention.

Woke up with a dodgy heel, thought about cancelling my run with Nick but after going outside with Hugo for a while it started to feel a lot better.
