Multi-Day Training Day 42, Järla middle Flaten, H21 4.9km (30/41)
A good race, tired on the hills but otherwise physically ok, lost 30 seconds on 7 - nothing worse than that.
It seems like I am coming through these left hip-flexor and gluteus niggles, the physical side of the orienteering much more automated in comparison to Wednesday. I was looking at the map regularly and actually planning routes today!
I do think that the stretching/massage is simply a quick fix however, having longer, less tight muscles just reduces the symptoms of the underlying problem. I'll certainly take that as a good solution if it means, like the evidence suggests, that I can train as much as I want to and enjoy my orienteering but I should definitely try to fit in some core coordination/strength sessions.
