Hellas/Södertörn För SM Middle O8 (13/58)

A solid run but for number 15 where arrived at the flag and read the control description for 16. Unfortunately 15 was a crag, 16 was a boulder and on the map the crag was very small, just like a boulder. Ran around in circles for a couple of minutes before realising.

Without the mistake I still would have been 11mins behind Kent Ohlsson but no big shame as he is near to world-class.

Apart from the forest everything was awful today. The biggest shame was nothing to do with my performance (although I did fall to pieces quite spectacularly towards the end of the course, both from a technical and physical perspective) but was in fact the course. I did think it was just us EOD victims that had been neglected but I spoke to a H18E on Nick's tour and he reported a similar verdict. Shame.

With Nick organising, went along today with high hopes of an interesting, well planned course and wasn't disappointed.

A bit scrappy but pleased to say that at no point was I completely lost. Full power certainly not available today, legs quite dead after last night's hill session.
