Running (Road/XC) 48:22 [3] 10.7 km (4:31 / km)

Even tho it probs meant sacrificing the only non-gale force cycling day left this year I decided to go running for a change. It was nice, I enjoyed myself - 2 laps of the Downs on the grass wherever possible. Even did some stretching b4 and after but only on the really tight bits.

Cycling tempo (Road) 58:55 [3] 27.5 km (2:09 / km) +95m 2:06 / km

Same route as June 20th, May 30th & 12th. Another nice ride in calm, sunny conditions - loving it. Tried to keep pushing hard today but legs were tired so nothing spectacular time wise.

1) 13:00
2) 29:30
3) 16:25

Running (Road) 27:21 [2] 5.7 km (4:48 / km)

Another brick session. Transition time down to four and a half minutes today so better but still faffing a bit. Gave the road running thing another go - went a bit slower but it still hurt pretty bad mostly in the lower back and in the shin/ankles. Things would probs be better if I actually did some stretching.

Cycling (Road) 2:46:50 [3] 77.0 km (2:10 / km) +365m 2:07 / km

No motivation at the moment but that's all got to change, just dunno how to do it. Managed to persuade myself out on the bike today using primarily the 'there's no wind' and 'it's not raining' arguments both of which are normally required for me to contemplate leaving the house these days.
Same route as last Wed and again went past G's place and took a split. Today was very similar conditions to the attempt last month with G and Matt so I was hoping to get close to the time that we did then. Was only three and a half mins down and twelve mins better overall than last week in the wind, but then last week was a better workout.

Running (Road/XC) 26:43 [3] 5.7 km (4:41 / km)

1 lap of the Downs running on the nice springy grass while Tim tested his new trainers out on the tarmac. Felt heavy and really rubbish, easy pace felt steady.

Cycling (Road) 1:13:35 [3] 31.3 km (2:21 / km) +190m 2:17 / km

After not doing anything since Sunday had to get out and do something even with a 34kph SSW which didn't seem that bad once I got going. Same route as with G on Tue May 13th and went past his place and took a split. I was thirty seconds down on the split which sounds not to bad but unfortunately it says in my log that we got caught in the traffic back then.

Running (Road) 24:40 [2] 5.3 km (4:39 / km)

Thought I might do a brick session and go out for a run str8 after cycling and after not being too impressed with our transition time on the last occasion I decided to get in, change my shoes and be out again within a few minutes. Try nine minutes. Needed a slash, a drink and then locked myself out. Fortunately one of our neighbours was about otherwise I fear it may have been slightly longer before I started running which incidently was pretty much a living nightmare. Tried my new road shoes out on the pavements around the Downs and omg I wouldn't recommend it. Road running is rubbish. Aches coming from everywhere. I have to admit tho it does feel good at speed - it is easy to run fast on a hard surface for sure.
