Holy smokes, a lot of climb. That was fun! Superb training for West Point. I forgot my shoes in the kid juggle this AM, so ran in my Piranhas ... 4.7 oz racing flats. It wasn't too bad, actually. If there had been any mud or slippery rocks, I would have been screwed.

Superb course by SamK. A real, true, Classic!

So, so good to get out after 5 days of tummy troubles. Fingers crossed. Nice and cool, perfect temp for me @ 50F. Super-slow pace, HR low.

Wildlife:

* Almost ran right into an old or sick (or sunbathing?) raccoon. Scared the pants off of me. At 22:46 in track. Wouldn't leave the path -- I had to go around.
* Pair of flickers. Beautiful.
