Possibly a new route ... same as Crum Lap, but an added fieldhouse hill loop, and one or two (did one once and two twice) added King Kong hill loops for each lap. Wanted to add some climb in, and it worked. Hot one today! 90F, heat index 97F.

Watch fail again today. Argh! Going to hard reset it, wipe everything, etc. I will go back to the last firmware revision if it doesn't heal soon.

So climb and distance both wrong (so estimates), which stinks when doing something 'new'.

Ah ha! There is a known bug, and a firmware update:

Changes made from version 2.90 to 3.00:
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the watch to randomly reset during an activity when connected to the heart rate monitor.
  • Fixed an issue that could cause the watch to reset while doing a user-defined workout.
  • Fixed various minor issues.
  • Updated translations.

    Applied! Fingers crossed that fixes things.
