Such a beautiful day!! Fall is in the air. Two days off was a really good idea ... maybe another day off would have been good as well, but I just couldn't stay out of the woods. Back is feeling pretty close to normal, but still something 'there' ... we'll see how the run affects it over the course of the evening.

The trails are quite beat up from the rain last weekend. Definitely even more rocky!

Legs tired. Planned on 5 x 1km, then while on the way to the cemetery thought about dropping the workout entirely for a recovery run, as my calves are achy. They've been achy for a time now (and my back still hurts too!).

So my head wasn't really in it, but I did something, anyway. Not bad Z4 except for #3, which was slow. Hmm.

Oh, and my HR monitor was crud for first mile.

Running long (Trail) 1:13:52 intensity: (58:41 @1) + (14:21 @2) + (46 @3) + (4 @4) 7.44 mi (9:55 / mi) +1388ft 8:26 / mi

That was the rainiest run I've ever been on in my life. The normally placid Crum was nearing hazard phase toward the end of the run, and all of the little feeder reentrants were ridiculous. I was up to mid-thigh at a couple of spots!

The plus of the rain was that it was quite cool. And different. Fun!

Slooooow going though, as all of the trails were 3" to 1' in water, usually going fast (or so it seemed) in the direction I wasn't. Not to mention the incredibly heavy rain! Neat.
