I think MicroDEM to the rescue (converted the GeoTiffs to ArcDEM, which imported into OCAD). Creating contours now ... I think! :)

3 laps in Crum Woods, on fairly-well-packed snow. Beautiful sunny day, a bit above freezing. Saw hughmac3 at the trestle (about 0.9mi ahead of me on the loop, with about 1.3mi left to go till home, so I had 2.2mi left), and he challenged me to try to catch him. I tried and failed! The 'race' element definitely motivated both of us though, so we're planning more handicap races. Fun!
I got the DEM lidar files for Crum Woods, but I haven't figured out the GeoTiff format yet. Somehow I keep getting no contours when I try to create them in OCAD ... I think my conversion process is suspect. When I analyze the DEMs with OCAD it says max elevation -9999, min elevation 9999. Seems odd. ;)
A good 8-10" of snow, so I took the day off for hours of snowblowing and shoveling with hughmac3 and alone at the new house. Worked on the new house driveway a lot, it really needs paving.

HAD to do something. It was roasting in the gym, I really had a hard time keeping my HR down. Ugh. Tried for a 90% effort but couldn't seem to stay under 95%. But much better than the preceding weeks.
Looks like I've got a new max HR, @ 191. I was certainly pushing it at the end trying (and failing) to get a nice round 6mi.
Wish I hadn't forgotten my goggles, I really wanted to do mini indoor tri.
