Note

Just realized 2 things: I won't be going to Warwick tomorrow (boo), and the Mt. Penn Mudfest is NOT next weekend (yay!).

But Juliet got me some new flour, and I'm baking 4 loaves of bread tonight and tomorrow morning, and big pancake breakfast, and new beers are just about ready to tap!
8 AM

Running warm up/down 7:34 intensity: (1:29 @0) + (43 @1) + (9 @2) + (48 @3) + (1:35 @4) + (2:50 @5) 0.96 mi (7:53 / mi)
ahr:158 max:182 shoes: Asics Gel Trail Attack 4

Fun fast warmup down to Valley Green ... the road was closed for a race.

Running 59:47 intensity: (49 @1) + (4:50 @2) + (44:30 @3) + (9:38 @4) 6.32 mi (9:28 / mi) +1148ft 8:04 / mi
ahr:152 max:171 shoes: Asics Gel Trail Attack 4

Saturday Trail Run with the Wissahickon Wanderers. Lungs still full of crap so I was coughing and short of breath, and the pace was too fast for me day before Warwick (but I might not go), but the gang was fun, a nice loop, and incredible (really, really nice) day.

Running warm up/down 10:31 intensity: (1:58 @0) + (1:46 @1) + (1:11 @2) + (5:36 @3) 0.94 mi (11:11 / mi) +262ft 8:51 / mi

Yoga 1:00:00 [1]
shoes: Bare Feet

Still a bit of a horrifying cough, not often, but ugly. Such a nice day, it was hard to go down in the basement at my office for yoga. But I'm glad I did! Man that really does my hips good.

Note

So I actually can't recommend Conquistador. The premise is awesome, and the guy does description spot on, but all of the characters are cardboard cliches. The protagonist is absolutely perfect. Not one problem, not one failure, not a pimple. He knows how to fly planes and dive for abalone. Nothing to connect you to him at all. Wait, I can fly planes and dive for abalone. Hmm.

I guess it's the 'no failures' part. He doesn't botch things up and learn, he's perfect from the start. Boring.
4 PM

Running 9:45 intensity: (1:01 @0) + (6:59 @1) + (1:36 @2) + (9 @3) 0.97 mi (10:00 / mi)
ahr:126 max:150 shoes: Asics Gel DS Trainer 12

Running 1:02:09 intensity: (9:16 @1) + (42:26 @2) + (10:27 @3) 6.74 mi (9:13 / mi)
ahr:138 max:150 shoes: Asics Gel DS Trainer 12

home > cemetery and some laps there ... started on the grass (see my track) but way too swampy so I explored the roads which I've never really done. Neat. I was envisioning a Halloween Run there, starting at midnight.

Accidentally reset my watch when I got there (something I usually forget to do when I'm supposed to when I get there, doh) ... so it's really all one run.

GREAT to get some of the cold crud out of my lungs and nose. My diaphragm is twingy from coughing, but I'm really glad I got out.
