Highlands Sky 40. A brutal race, with some good climb (handled, but underestimated), and some extremely rocky trail (not expected, so not handled well).

It was great to see the girls and JKoczak at 19.7mi AS and finish!! We’ll be here relaxing for a few more days too. Sweet!

U Penn league softball game. We lost, but it was a fun game anyway. Only 1 x at bat (I was really just filling the roster), nice ground ball between 1st & 2nd (they weren't expecting that), for a double & RBI, then scored myself on a fumbled infield doinker that the defense played poorly. Played 1st base for 2 innings and made a couple of real good plays, but 1 error that resulted in a run. Love 1st base! Then the thunderstorms came and the game was cancelled (5th inning complete, so no 2nd chance).

Whoops, blew this one with not enough water for the heat + humidity combo. See my post-run weight, above: yikes! I realized it on lap 4, where I was just slowing down and slowing down. Not till lap 5 did I look at my HR ... yikes again! Even walking it was spiking to mid 150s. Sheesh. Anyway, got it done, good HTFU training, I suppose. Lap 5 I was 50/50 walk/jog.

Watch blew up at the end, too. :)

Tuna melt is tasting really, really good right now.
