2 laps of Braids + Mortonhall, then exploring a bit of Liberton, Craigmillar, Innocent trail. Felt good to get out in sunshine (missing that from Oz).

Braids loop fairly good for lack of traffic lights etc, but getting bored by the 2nd lap. A longer overall loop at slightly reduced pace would probably have improved enjoyment.

Not sure my average speed would cut it to join the 'big boys' on the road club rides.

Middle Distance at South Achray
Not enough warm up meant knee pain on the first few stumbles in rougher ground. Mostly enjoyable, except for not managing to get my brain focussed, so ended up with a multitude of (mostly) smaller errors.
e.g. less than optimal routes / overly loose rough bearings / laziness with tick-off features / not noticing stronger AP info
Great weather, and enjoyed a nice lunch and exploring drive further north afterwards.

R Quad reverted to weaker status again.
The work days that prevent training seem to be the biggest factor. Although not helped by last weeks illness.
Sitting time leading to hip tightness, then knee soreness / weakness.

Really starting to get tired of being polite to Tory Voting EU haters and their uninformed and small minded notions of how the world works / should work. Glad I don't have kids, because I'd be even more depressed about the future we're passing on to future generations.
