Jukola Relay at Kangasala. Second leg on our fourth team. I think we exceeded all the expectations on every leg and ended up to superb 174th place. Super happy. I was thinking that, if we are running good we'll be around 300. I didn't start well. I took a safe route choice to first, but didn't navigate well / at all while approaching to the control point. Missed it and visited wrong forking. About 2 and half min mistake on first cp. Not a nice start. Again a very safe route choice to second cp using path and hill top. Not very secure on green and slight panic thinking that do I miss this one also. Found it straight and started to get confidence back. Another miss at 7, but then I got the flow. Control point 9 was a game changer. I heard guys yelling codes and they all had different control point. I took time to make a plan and executed it well. I got a feeling that "I know this sport" and I did a good run on remaining part of the leg.

Our first teams did very well too. In Venla relay 10th and Jukola 21st. Best result for a long time.

Result LS-37 4th team

Hämis bros relay Oints training as Lahden Suunnistajat preparation for Jukolan Viesti. I think there was more than 50 runners from our club. Cool and cool training. Media coverage too. Most likely article in local newspaper tomorrow. Awesome. I was running with my daughters.
