Tampere Suunnistus. Long distance. Right leg (takareisi) was tense after yesterdays race and it was not good during warm up. I was running with lower tempo to save the leg, but it got worse and I had to basically walk last two km. Not nice. I will not run tomorrow. Course was rather easy. Terrain was better than I was expecting. One bigger mistake at fifth control. The rest of the course I navigated quite well.

Tampere suunnistus. Sprint distance. Map was next to comin Finnish sprint champs. Not a really good run, but not too bad either. No power to run hard on easy part. I did also two mistakes. On the first one I missed one corner and was wondering for a moment where I am. On the other one uncrossable fence and then difficulties find hole in fence to control. In map it seemed bigger, but was almost full grown. Rest went quite ok.

Starting tomorrow. Three days and three races at Tampere. Starting with a sprint. That is exciting. Two forest races makes me wonder, because the forest most likely is not the very best there is.

Second time on Tuohijärvi map on this week. Better part of the terrain was used on this one. Course was also nice except I don't like course design like it was done on the area of 2 and thirteen. Line crosses the circle. Good control points and legs anyhow. My navigation was almost good. On circles some hesitations and stops. Better planning and more map reading required.

Hapardia lainaten köpöttelyä LS:n iltarasteilla. Maasto oli odotuksia heikompaa ja karttakin ajantasaistusta vailla. Antti vähän kiritti matkalla. Jusben tipsi aukon kierrosta toi riittävän pesäeron taistelussamme. Seivasin vaan eroa loppumatkan. Pitäsköhän välillä levätä. Ihan puhki ja oikea takareisi ihan jökkelissä. Suunnistuskin on hetkittäin vähän sinne päin. Tänään vältin virheet kyllä, vaikka läheltä piti.

FIN5 - Day 5. Long distance at Kipaknummi, Hirvijärvi.

Best run orienteering point of view. Basically no mistakes. Finally I was able to make a plan on every leg and also execute like I planned. Not just run and hope. To make a really good result I was missing a gear or two. No difficulties to keep my normal pace through the course, but couldn't run any faster. If I tried, soon I had to slow down. Also pain on right leg (reisi) slowed me down a bit. Nice way to end the week with a good run.

FIN5 - Day 4. Long distance at Kuusisto, Hirvijärvi.

Better orienteering than on previous days. Running was not strongest. Heikki Kettunen caught me up before fifth. I knew where I was, but decided to follow him and make a mistake with him. Followed him to sixth. Then he vanished, but he made a mistake on 7 and I saw him there and still saw him on road to ten. At the end I was very tired I had to partly walk to 11. I did not concentrate enough navigation. Just hoping that control point finds me. Mistake it was. Similar thing I did too many times on day 2 and 3.
