Cold, but otherwise excellent running weather on this very last day of year 2009. I ran shortened Voimis loop. Clockwise this time (first time). Small variation for standard while I was trying to avoid small snowy trails. Thanks to two previous points it felt like totally new leg. :). This was also a py-sis test.

Someone needs to finetune winter driving skills.

Longer run in the morning so I'll not show up on group run in the evening as earlier planned. Nice jog. After long cold period this -5°C felt pretty warm. T-shirt weather :)

Snow related activities.

Head lamp nordic walking in the forest. 20-30 cm new powder snow and in some places even more. All white, also trees. Totally silent. Moonshine. Could walk without using lamp. Nice, but thanks to foggy moonshine also a bit spooky. Snow and my mind played tricks on me. Falling snow (from trees) made a sound I thought for a while been big animal breathing behind me. Soon realized that it is snow making the strange noice, but when I looked up to sky to see the moon and noticed that I've been walking for a while to wrong direction. I made a correction. Good. Then I met fresh tracks in the forest. Has there been someone else? Stand a moment thinking are they mine? What now? Continue or follow my track back. Stayed in the original plan walking to direction I thought I should go and soon I came to a familiar place and walked safely home.

Yes the track was mine. I had made a full circle... It does not need much to get lost. Next time I think I'll take compass with me.

Yes the new lamp bright and light. Excellent.

+ 1 hour strength exercise on living room floor. Abs & legs. Jonne as extra weight in some moves. At the same time I was making myself familiar with Vidzone in PS3. Vidzone is for watching/listing music videos with PS3 and for free at the moment. Create your own playlists etc. Old school music listener is learning new tricks.
