O-Tuesday in SapieginÄ—, B course, 4.1km, started at the end of the rain shower. 1st - direct climbing test - success. 4th - didn't expect CP to be so low, ran too high on the slope, expected 30'' error, from the splits see that it was 1'. 5th - there were two equal route choices, took right one, over the top of the hill, as it looked safer. Just after leaving 5th CP spend some 15'' for coughing fit. 6th CP - messed for 30'' in CP area. 7th - lack of map reading - should have followed the hill on the left, messed around a bit until relocated - 1'15''. Missed the path to the right near 8th CP, but somehow felt that should already turn right - so just small 10'' mistake. 9th - went too low on the slope in CP area - 15''. To 10th somehow couldn't get right direction from the beginning - 15''. To 12th there were again two route choices, took right - a longer one, but around big hill (I guess was doubting about my possibilities at this stage to climb another 40m high hill), just 20'' mistake because of lack of map reading in the first part. 4' of mistakes in total, was lucky that Marius C. was also making mistakes, so that was still enough for a win. It wasn't difficult to run today (ran to all hills), but it wasn't easy orienteering, as all the course was looped in such small map.
Tested my new orienteering socks (Noname) - 1st time ever ran with proper ones. Perfect fit - no blisters on heels, toes or feet, maybe it was positively affected by wet shoes.
