Yesterday was feeling better and had time for running, but decided "it's too early to run, only two days have passed". Today self-feeling was not so good, so just another poor result, taking usual 1 loop in VP.

Completely without concentration before race and felt that running to 2nd CP - 4' mistake. Another 3' mistake to 4th CP and there is no motivation to run anymore. First thought - to withdraw, but as I'm withdrawing only completely tired, decided to finish the course, but the were no speed, as in the middle of the course was running slower then some master men, who I should overtake easily. Another 9' disaster to 16th CP.
Overall: complete disaster, should withdraw from orienteering I guess.

Decided to check legs after work. One loop in VP. Better self-feeling before training (than yesterday and last Sunday) - better result.

In the morning felt, that legs are quite week, meanwhile yesterday it felt ok - maybe because yesterday took one pill of magnesium - wasn't taking it for about 1,5 weeks, when healing course didn't give any effect - one week ago it was even worse - during night sleep both legs at the same time were caught by cramp, haven't experienced so bad situation before.
Today took regular one loop in VP and self-feeling didn't lie once again - it was tough to run, maybe because legs didn't see any asphalt for a long time. Also yesterday changed my HR belt battery, so HR monitor was showing bullshit all the time - sometimes was running at 141, when had a feeling that the real number is at least 155, also it seemed that signal haven't been sent to monitor constantly, as HR value was dropping from 155 to 141 in intervals, just HR monitor wasn't beeping about lost signal, as before. Quite poor result. Maybe next time it will be better.

As have had easy work today and won't participate in Takas 2009, decided to visit O-Thursdays event in Tapeliai map (1:15000). As from beginning felt that legs haven't recovered after Tuesday, took my average pace. The 4th CP was at the same area as few years ago, and near it map is total bullshit (one hill should be drawn at least with half-contours, no there is none drawn), so attacked CP from the different point than previous time, but was unlucky, as once again found the same unmarked hill, but now knew where I am an quickly relocated, but again in CP area didn't look at the map properly - 2'. Then made 30'' worth garbage mistake near 7th CP. Other CPs took fine, just was quite slow. Total mistakes - 2'30''. Didn't like the course somehow, those places have been explored already and the course part through wet marshes wasn't motivating either, also maybe because almost didn't meet anybody in the forest even starting quite early for me (18:40).
Don't understand how my orienteering shoes are almost clean after this swamps' session, as sometimes was in the mud almost up to knees.

O-Tuesday in Salote. Knew that because of hard rain there will be less competitors and there is a good opportunity to get good points. Made very good race, second in a row, and once again almost always was reading the map while running and ran faster than usually - don't understand how succeeded to force myself to do both. Made just some small garbage mistakes - 30'' on 7th CP, 30'' on 12th CP, 15'' on 15th CP, 1'15'' total and achieved another very rare victory (third this year).

O-Tuesday in Lyglaukiai. Started easily, doubting about my capabilities, but after 1st CP started to push. It happened to be the best race of the season for me, maybe because was trying to read the map all the time while running (it happens very rare for me), also maybe because of the map and course - liked the course very much (credits go to Dzūkas). Made just some garbage mistakes - 6th CP - 1' (took wrong direction to the left), 8th CP - 30'' - wrong route choice, 10th CP - 30'' - wrong route choice, 12th CP - 30'' - thought that was running on the other side of the slope. Total - 2'30''. Also ran all uphills, of course it was good, that the course was hills-friendly.

After competition while lifting walka to Zverynas saw how walka disposed two microscopic ticks and updated my poor knowledge about those bugs. It seems that two years ago a small tick got into by leg, not just "some bug" (and caused an allergy to it) - before that last time succeeded to catch a tick at least 12 years ago, and those were quite larger.

Lithuania championships, sprint distance. Quite good race, 40'' of mistakes on 3 controls. Pushed almost as hard as I could.

O-Tuesday in Gudeliai. Don't like this map, but took opportunity to visit it (even after rain). 3rd CP - didn't understand the map - 2', 10th CP - 2' for double checking, as CP was already taken by Gyte. 14th - 1' - should have taken the meadow. Quite good race, just result don't reflect it.
Near the last CP right leg was caught by the cramp, quite scaring, as during last night sleep left leg was caught by cramp attack. During last three weeks took two bottles (100 pills) of magnesium, but it seems that either it don't affect me or just need longer healing course. Hope that cramp won't catch me during Saturday's sprint competition.
