Football with orienteerers. Teams in vosvos log. His team won 8:5.
Burned 1010 kcal. Feel a little bit exhausted, but my brain took very good rest.

Somehow felt big need to do training (maybe felt guilty because of Tuesday), so couldn't resist. Home - VP - home. From the beginning felt very good so ran faster than usually. After 23' felt pain in the chest, so made 1' rest brake, walking fast. Once again achieved course record (as far as I remember, the last one 39'' was worse), even with that 1' rest brake. So still have some chances to climb out of 5' per km.

O-Thursday in Baltoji voke. Very green forest, it was not easy to pass it. Tried "old new" shoes, as distance was quite short. Was swearing all the distance, as had to tie shoes in every 200 meters (in the finish Aranskis showed how to tie shoes properly), but good fact is that legs weren't rubbed sore. Made 6' of mistakes, so lost duel to Marius. In the finish became acquainted with nerimka. HRM max rate somehow unbelievable...

So spring orienteering season has been closed, next orienteering event for me - Visaginas 2008 3x4. I'll try to do running training during summer, but don't know how will succeed with motivation...

O-Thursday in Antaviliai. Very fast course through "white" forest. Ran as mad beaver, but meanwhile made only 2' of small mistakes - all because of incapability to keep right direction, overall: satisfied with race.

O-Tuesday in Varnikai. Became cheater today - made 10' mistake to the first CP (didn't understand relief near CP), came back, cleared SI card and started again (used Bertasius recipe). On the second try made 7'15'' of mistakes - 4' of them was combing CP area for 5th CP with J.U. Meanwhile running form was better than could expect. Found several large unmarked boulders and clearings on the course, so was very unsatisfied with that. Still feel the pain got from nettle.
Overall: orienteering - poor, running - very good.

It was difficult to find motivation to run this weekend, but somehow succeeded. Home - VP - home with few short speedups in the distance. At the beginning it was somehow difficult to run, but after 6' got into rhythm. I think I will have to search for motivation to do running trainings all summer.

O-Thursday in my "home" forest Aukstagiris. Ran faster than usually, but made a lot of smaller or larger mistakes - 4'15'' total, 2'30'' of them - because of incapability to hold right direction. Positive that could read map while running at least half of the course. My orienteering is still disaster...

O-Tuesday in Medziakalnis. I like this map and all those swamps. Made 9'30'' of mistakes, it seems that my orienteering pinnacle form now has gone... Will check with Aukstagiris race on Thursday :)

Lithuanian championships, relay. Supported my club members with water in spectator control. Had a good time, after competition took a first this year swim in Elniakampis lake with vosvos and Renvaldas.

Lithuanian championships in long distance, weak men group (B). Started concentrated but something wrong was with the head, that got lost already to the first CP (7') (started to search for it earlier than should). It was my luck to meet Zilvinas, who started 5' after me, he routed me to the first CP. Untill 4th CP ran with him (took my first refresh in some swamp), before CP we meet Vitalijus also. Zilvinas found CP first, I got confused with the map (1'), so I took CP with Vitalijus, and Zilvinas was somewhere ahead us. To 6th CP ran with Vitalijus half of time, then Vitalijus took my planed route, and I - his. I made 1' mistake, he made more, because he caught me, while I was refreshing myself with stream's water towards 7th CP. To 7th Vitalijus made a mistake, I took CP first, few seconds before Backys did. While I was tying my shoe Backys disappeared and I couldn't hook him (as I had no clue which route to take). But soon Justas appeared to CP (I was loosing 17' to him) and I "took my map to teeth" and hooked him. It was not easy, but I succeeded to run after him to 8th CP (there we caught Backys). Running to 9th I took refreshment in the stream again, then running I saw Zilvinas after me (I caught him for about 4'), but met him again only near 10th CP. Then we finished course together.
Burned 1440 kcal during the race.
Overall: 10' of mistakes, 7' of them - to the first CP. If not the first CP, I would say - not bad, but now... Completed plan minimum - overtook Vitalijus.

Football near VP stage. Was extremely sweating and after every hard kick my legs were caught by cramp. Feel a little bit exhausted, hope to recover until Saturday.

One loop in VP, not easy. Nice sunny weather, quite warm. Ran only one loop, because was quite thirsty after 20min and felt little pain in the chest.
