WOC final.

Excited more than nervous at the start. Just looking to go out and run a good race. Started well although didn't quite get the optimal route to the first. Next few went well but on the way to 5 I ran down a dead end alley. I knew which alleyway I was running down but I thought it was open. I checked but obviously got it wrong. Lost 16 seconds to the fastest split. The rest of the race was a bit of a blur. I had the pace of the leaders and didn't miss too much from then, maybe a couple of sub optimal route choices but nothing too big.

At the arena I was 4 seconds off a medal and 9 behind the lead but I shipped a couple more seconds on the easy last loop. I was in worlds of pain.

8th, 3 seconds behind the podium, 7 seconds behind a medal, 12 seconds behind the lead. More opportunities to come.

Went well, 3 dodgy routes losing 4,5 and 14 seconds but apart from that running well and feeling good. Great support at the finish.
