Scottish Champs Relay,

Boys did the job and sent me off in the lead. Didn't know who was behind and set off well up the first hill and around the open. Was cruising nicely until I wobbled into number 10 (didn't understand the map) and looked up and Nixon was right behind me. Picked up the pace a bit from then on and he faded back a bit. No real errors, a few little wobbles here and there, brought it home nicely.

Scottish Champs Long,

Up for the relay and only just arrived in time for the start, not entirely sure how much I was going to give it at the start. Thought I was going quite well at the start (although I was swapping the lead with a hungover spongey the whole time) but felt pretty good going into the long leg and from then on it was just a matter of trying to keep focussed and fighting through the cobbles. Biggest mistake was to 19 where my plan was not so good (I was thinking more about avoiding the tussocks than finding the control) and I lost a lot through hesitating. Still feeling pretty good at the end.
