Orienteering 50:00 [3]

US S/M/L champs. Middle at BAOC's Morgan Terrritory.

Nice day and my legs actually felt reasonably good during WU. That is until I was mid way through my strides and my right hamstring grabbed. I did my best to massage it and started the course at a jog. Every other part of my legs were ready to run and had good energy, but not my right hamstring. Kept it at a jog until the leg to C15 when it grabbed again. Walked the rest of the way in. Annoying. I would have really liked to put in a good effort. Now my fingers are crossed that I can at least get out tomorrow.

Did about a dozen hard 15 stroke surges. Didn't quite go absolute, jam it, max pressure because I always seem to strain something doing that. Instead, very firm pressure. Typically 15 strokes on and 20 off, but I wasn't rigorous about it. Dead calm morning; very nice. However, after a very annoying 4 days of being Pres of WRB I was short on quality sleep. Cancelled my evening bike ride.

Worked in hills around the lake and the old neighborhood. Legs still not 100% but it's not like I've been completely resting. Nice morning. I got out in the dark at 0700.

Gray and drizzly, which I liked. A bit of an easy wind but it came and went. Could go where I wanted. Had 3 x 10min of pausing (3 strokes then pause) to get in some technique work but also some solid load on the legs.

SMU was hosting Creighton and UTAustin so I also did some spectating from the water.

Late afternoon run. Sunny now. During the second half I did some bounding/plyo. Not vigorously but I wanted to do a bit more than just shuffle around.
