strength & stretching 1:06:40 intensity: (16 @0) + (16:12 @1) + (11:17 @2) + (19:17 @3) + (10:00 @4) + (9:38 @5) 1.32 mi (50:31 / mi)
ahr:117 max:165

Class at the gym plus a little bit of the walk home as I forgot to stop my watch. It was a good class - not too hard and not too easy - so the perfect way to shake out the kinks after yesterday's orienteering and the drive home. Plus, maybe it will help my arms not be so unready for Tuesday's class.

Knee still a bit sore; maybe more icing later today.

orienteering 2:17:21 intensity: (4:03 @1) + (24:12 @2) + (1:23:47 @3) + (20:36 @4) + (4:43 @5) 5.09 mi (26:59 / mi) +118m 25:10 / mi

Bumble with Valerie. The plan was for 3 windows but we muffed up the first couple controls and then had a few falls and then my knee froze up and it was a while before I could get it working again and so we decided 2 were enough. Disappointed since we had left the nicest window for last and thus spent all our time in the thicker and thornier stuff.

But as always, fun to visit with and orienteer with Valerie!

Note

And OUSA has hired my replacement! YAY!!

9 AM

strength & stretching 54:50 intensity: (17 @0) + (34:54 @1) + (13:09 @2) + (2:51 @3) + (3:39 @4) 0.84 mi (1:05:16 / mi)
ahr:94 max:142

Shortish and easyish class at the gym. And I even used 5lb weights instead of 3. She just takes so many breaks whereas the Tuesday class is go-go-go non-stop.

Note

I have a small shed in my back yard that has accumulated things over the 15 years I've lived here. The roof was rotting out and I hired some guys to replace it. They found lots of damage to the whole structure but said the foundation was okay. So a roof replacement turned into a replacement of all the sides of the shed as well. To do the work they needed to remove most of what was in there - a lot of accumulated junk including things that were there when I first moved in that I never go rid of. They were willing to haul away anything I didn't want. They are thrilled to get some things I just didn't want that were taking up space like some trash cans and a metal cabinet and old sawhorses. So it seems like a real win-win. They are happy to get things and I am happy to get rid of things. They aren't quite done but should finish up tomorrow. And I will have what will seem like a brand new shed both inside and out!

Another gorgeous day - over 60F - so I decided to take advantage of it.
Hill repeats - they didn't seem nearly as hard as the last time.
