An okay outing. On the plus side I wasn't too sore from Saturday so was able to move okay. I couldn't run the whole course but I ran a good bit of it which I wasn't expecting to be able to do. On the minus, after deliberately deciding not to take the road route to the first control I let the contours confuse me and I had to stop and figure it out. A few other bobbles by not reading ahead on the contours. I was also a wuss on the stream crossings.

TNT - ran with Jim and Bob. Did 4 miles on the drive, jogged a bit of the way down but walked the whole way home. A little under 11 minute pace: 20:57 out, 21:26 back. It felt long but not too hard; was talking most of the way. Which was the plan. Quite muddy and still a little icy in spots despite it being 60F for the last couple of days. The valley is steep enough that Forbidden Drive doesn't get much sun in the winter.

Great meal afterwards - we had this fantastic red pepper soup and fresh homemade bread (curtesy of Karl), jumbo shrimp, salad and pie.

Note

Knees a bit sore lately; I've been icing again more regularly and that seems to help.
