trail 35:02 [3]

After greeting the freshman at school and answering lots of questions and finding out that the Calc texts are not in the bookstore and coming up with a plan to deal with that, got home later than I expected. Mowed the lawn and still got out for a quick run before dark.

Felt fragile for the first 15 minutes or so - wasn't sure what my knees were doing. They would hurt for a few steps then feel okay for a few then hurt then not. Was trying to run gently until they decided what was what. And they eventually decided that running was okay, they loosened up and I felt fine for the last 20 minutes.

Haven't done the meadow loop in a while since I've usually wanted to go longer.

Note

Just looked back over my log and it looks like the same loop used to take 30-33 minutes. :( Perhaps it was just that I started out so slowly since my knees were feeling funny.

Somewhere in the 3 hours I was out and about in Hickory Run there had to be at least an hour's worth of "training". Glad I made one final trip and looked carefully at a few final controls and legs that I was wondering if I could just assume would be okay. Some were but some weren't.

Screwy week - no TNT. Run on my own in the Wiss. Enjoyed it.
