Almost didn't go out; glad I did. Not glad about the bug that I swallowed. Bleah.

TNT sort of fizzled tonight - it was only going to be me and Jim and I really didn't want to go outside tonight and Jim decided not to bother. But I did the core workout, tired arms and all.

I had steeled myself for hiking in the sleet and rain this morning but was pleasantly surprised by a dusting of snow on the ground but no precipitation and reasonable temperatures while hiking.

Very lightheaded this morning after I got into school... Dehydrated maybe? Seems unlikely but who knows.

I really liked tonight's class - for whatever reason we just did mostly things that I like. Was able to kick up and hold my handstands for more than a second for the first time in a long time. I think probably the push ups are the reason for that. Just stronger all around. Back-bends are still pretty pathetic though.

TNT - slid down to the drive with Bob and Jim then walked while they ran; they caught me on the way back so I jogged the last 1/4 mile so they wouldn't have to wait for me. The drive is still a sheet of ice in many places but down to dirt in others. It would have been a sloppy muddy mess if it had been any warmer so probably good that it was cold.

Burnt chili for dinner after. It was edible. Barely.

Loop on this side trying to push the pace. The snow was mostly a sort of barely slush - very easy to walk on in the sense of easy on the joints, you just sort of slid into each step. There was enough traction to get up the hills. Warm out but windy.

A long hike getting over to the other side of the valley. Mixed conditions with a few trails almost down to dirt, many sections that were sheets of ice and some that were packed snow and easy to walk on. You never knew what would be around the bend in the trail.

Same hike as yesterday but in vastly better conditions. Part of the time I was walking on the snow next to the trails - it was solid with a quarter inch or so of granular stuff on top for traction and it felt like I was walking on air. Really nice sunrise.
