Run race 38:22 [4] *** 4.9 km (7:50 / km)
spiked:14/19c shoes: f-lite 335

York city race

Not my type of race, so i think i did quite well considering. I did alright on the short technically legs, and the ones with people on the streets, just not the straight running (3, 7, 8 etc). Small mistake going out of 2. Lost a minute on 18. Bumped head going out of 17, went a bad way, then turned down wrong street, and took too long to work out what was going on. Finished through the market, but suprisngly didn't lose that much time.

York is a nice city.

also had the gasiest walking micro O prologue ever! Would've been alright just to wander round the train muesuem but not the stupid O.

Scottish relays - ~Tullochroisk

Shit map scale (1:7.5) and i felt crap too before the start. Probably my worst race of the year. Went really slow and still felt screwed. 2 mins on 5, too high and to the right. Remembered wromng code on 12. Then completly bottled 15, couldn't work out what was going on at the time. But now so obvious that i mistook the power line for the fence, how could've i done that!

Felt i let the team down.

Run (Up) 58:00 [2] 4.5 km (12:53 / km) +750m 7:02 / km

Schiehallion, such a nice day and when Mark S wanted to i had to go. Intially thought i might hold them back after feeling so rubbish in the morning. Started off at a walk but then did a quick walk up the steep bit, then felt like keeping the heart rate up so did a jog across the technically rock stuff at the top. I felt good, best run of the weekend, maybe i should give up O and take up mountain marthons.

Run (down) 30:00 [2]

Back down the mountain, again jogged across the top and then started descending with john, loads of fun technically running, he speeded up but i didn't want to push it. Felt like walking the flat at the end

Scottish champs - Tullochroisk M21L

Beautiful, technical and physical. Went wrong on 1 drifting off before nailing 2 and complety stuffing 3 (which wasn't as bad as i did 5) obvioudly not concetrating. Then kept on going and got bloody tired. Been sick all week and not quite recovered, heather tough (not much of that in SW) then hill climb to 12 mission. 15 the map was wrong, but as it was a cliff i should've descended below it to the fence cornor much much earlier, that could be the lesson of the day. Started to die, thought about DNFing, but i never do that. Battled on and suprisingly got the fastest split to 18, so everyone else must've been f'd too.
I think it went wrong when todd told me to do my country proud...

Stated climb was 425, optimum route was about 560 m i did more than that with climbing into 5 twice...
