A wonderful run with Chloé in Chamonix. We arrived yesterday, but only got to Chamonix around 18:00 and then there was a team dinner, so no time for a run. On Sunday I was exhausted about supporting Marc during the marathon and took an hour nap instead of running. But at least I got to see a bit of the beautiful mountains by foot today and we even took the gondola up to the top of Aiguille de midi afterwards. It was a very fun girly outing:-)

Just a normal run, but I felt lopsided. The intervals did a number on my muscles and my left foot and right knee were sore. Man am I a mess. I dream of the days I can run again without this foot thing. Tomorrow I am going back to Basel to the doctor to look at the MRI pictures and discuss what I should do and when. The idea of surgery is appealing and annoying at the same time. I really want this problem to go away and feel like my foot functions normally again but the idea of getting out of shape (again!) and rebuilding my running form after 2 pregnancies and the fact that I am finally feeling fit again bugs me a bit. I think the heath aspect of my foot is more important, but I am still chasing those days of feeling really fit and running fast.

Warm-up and some track exercises. Hot day, 32°C, the intervals will be tough in this heat.

running intervals 25:48 [5] 3.14 km (8:13 / km) +4m 8:11 / km

3x (400m 1min rest, 200m) with 3min rest. I ran some good times for the first set and then got slower. Not like former times, but happy to be working hard.
