running 51:31 [3] 7.7 km (6:41 / km) +175m 6:00 / km
Started running and my route takes me directly uphill, when I got to a flat section my heal started hurting because I am a pretty strong heal striker, so I decided to run on my forefoot to see if it felt better than my normal running form and it did! It felt really good on my achilles and heal, so good that I kept it up for the whole 50min of running (interpret this as pretty stupid...). It was a challenge to run differently the whole way around. It was physically more strenuous, but this was also because my pace was faster than normal. It was hard to run slower using this time of stride. I think it would be really great if I could change my foot strike, this would be more economical and obviously faster and from what I understand is better for our body (less impact). The problem is that it caused massive sore muscles the next day and my heal hurt more than usual. I guess trying to do it for 50 min was pretty silly.
