running 25:01 [3] 3.54 km (7:04 / km) +72m 6:25 / km

Trying the forefoot running thing some more and it was a bit easier physically, even if my muscles still feel overworked doing this. I am curious to continue this experiment.

core strength workout 25:10 [3]

Core strength and foot exercises in our fitness. Matti joined me to play on the balance balls and to "do his gymnastic too".

indoor bike (hometrainer) 1:00:02 [3]

Watching the women's 30km cross-country ski race. It was interesting! I had to take a day off of running, because after yesterday's experiment, I had sore muscles and my foot was pretty painful. oops.

running 51:31 [3] 7.7 km (6:41 / km) +175m 6:00 / km

Started running and my route takes me directly uphill, when I got to a flat section my heal started hurting because I am a pretty strong heal striker, so I decided to run on my forefoot to see if it felt better than my normal running form and it did! It felt really good on my achilles and heal, so good that I kept it up for the whole 50min of running (interpret this as pretty stupid...). It was a challenge to run differently the whole way around. It was physically more strenuous, but this was also because my pace was faster than normal. It was hard to run slower using this time of stride. I think it would be really great if I could change my foot strike, this would be more economical and obviously faster and from what I understand is better for our body (less impact). The problem is that it caused massive sore muscles the next day and my heal hurt more than usual. I guess trying to do it for 50 min was pretty silly.

running 39:54 [2] 5.74 km (6:57 / km) +160m 6:06 / km

Another peppy run after spending way too much time at the mall trying to find things for our new house. Glad to have been able to run anyway. Marc went afterwards in the dark. What a good guy.

indoor bike (hometrainer) 22:22 [1]

Early morning biking to wake up my back and achilles. Hoping this type of exercise will help things get back to normal.

MBB 24:56 [1]

Muscle body balance: some yoga, the pilates exercises and at the end calf raises. All of this in our very new "fitness room":-) Can't wait to get everything set up in here.
3 PM

running 56:08 [2] 7.41 km (7:35 / km) +213m 6:38 / km

A nice run, felt pretty energetic and bouncy, but my foot hurt me the whole way. More in the beginning and at the end.
