Orienteering 40:00 [2]

Scottish Sprint Champs - Uphall & Broxburn.
Didn't fancy it, thought the courses would be too fast and simple, broken from last night.

Good choice not to race but shadow Hannah round two complicated yellow courses. There is no way I can run fast enough for thise simple style of sprint o.

Hannah had fun. I got a leg stretch without the hard pounding.

FVO Activity Day. Footpath running with a map at Polmaise. I didn't understand why, if we had a map, we weren't doing some O so my youngsters were feature spotting in turns, hare and hounding to various sites etc to get some map time.

A great talk fro the Hammonds in the afternoon!

Orienteering race 44:44 [4] 6.63 km (6:45 / km)

Scottish Nights - John Muir Country Park.
Attacked the course but really struggled with the map - 1:10,000 shrunken version of a 1:7,500 map. Not clear at all.
One big mistake, two small ones - but I still wouldn't have beaten Rog.
2nd. Will (M40) between me and Rog.

Dumyat. Achilles didn't like it but I did!
Fabulous cloud inversion, a few inches of snow underfoot.

Newton PS Running Club.
My achilles wouldn't have liked a second session so I didn't take part in much. Core/strength session in the hall with Hazel then out the back of school for some short hill reps with run-off downhill section x 4.
Cold standing about! Brrrr.

Easy jog out to see how bod is. Left calf/achilles still nippy but Ok to run on steady.

Felling like it's January and I'm overweight ,got a long way to go and I can't be arsed.
