Orienteering race 53:10 [4] 10.37 km (5:08 / km) +446m 4:13 / km
ahr:159 max:172

Race the Castles - Stirling.
Up at the crack of dawn to hang and man an elite control on the open hill. Freeeezing cold but when the elites came through I perked up. Straight from there to the start and got on with the job. Had set my mind on just getting round (if my legs would let me) but got into a decent stride. Didn't miss too much and pleased to see other bits of Stirling thanks to GG's map and Ross's planning. The castle was fab fun!
Knackered now!

Orienteering race 35:51 [4] 7.85 km (4:34 / km) +485m 3:29 / km
ahr:167 max:178

Race the Castles - Edinburgh.
Managed to arrive in time to watch some elite action then child minding while Skyhigh went first. Not really in the mood when I started but soon got into the swing of things. Didn't pick ALL the best routes but tried my best and was happy with my run, despite being 11th!

Orienteering race 21:49 [3] 4.3 km (5:04 / km)
ahr:152 max:172

Edinburgh Night Sprint planned by Murray.
Good fun but I wasn't in the racing mood or that bothered about working out all the levels. Happy that I survived and able to run tomorrow. Gubbed by Housewife.

Mountain Bike 1:54:50 [3] 28.89 km (3:58 / km) +605m 3:36 / km

Work jolly for two days.

Cuningar Loop in Glasgow, visit to the Emirates Arena and Velodrome (got into the pit!) and then Segway trekking near Aberfoyle.
Spending the evening at the Forest Hills (MacDonald Resorts) hotel near loch Ard - well nice! So an opportunity for an mtb ride with my boss (£4k full suss bike) and Stephen (north surveyor) and me (£180 bike ;-). Stephen was a whippet for the first 20 mins and then he hit the wall. My boss rode strong all the way. Lots of dead end routes in Loch Ard as we didn't have a map!
Good training in the end, followed by leisure pool, steam room, jaccuzi and 4 course meal, yum!
