O race in Sweden. Great forest - very mixed, lots of green, plenty technical and some lovely white bits. Head cold slowing me down and tiring towards the end when I did a 3.5 min walkabout on one control. Course won in 60, perhaps could have done 63 on a good day.

This is why I want to spend more time in Sweden - I could crack this!
Ankles just about holding up.

In Sweden visiting Doug and Bex.
O session with Doug on a fab area I've been to before but can't remember the name of. A jog out a full-on (for me) pairs exercise - alternate legs) and a jog back whilst Doug upped the pace on his own.

Followed by a fab afternoon's kayak on the lakes with Doug, Bex & Matthew. Absolutely brilliant!

On a work jolly up at Pitlochry - took the opportunity to cycle back off-road from the newly refurbished Queens View Visitor Centre (they haven't improved the view at all ;-) to Pitlochry via woods, private footpaths and Faskally. Failed mid-way due to derelict private estate paths & forestry workings but had a lovely final few k through Faskally and around the loch.

Then onto the pub till the early hours .....

Lakes Weekender - Urban race, Kendal.
Ankle quite sore from yesterday but not sore enough to not take some easy UKOL points. Sadly it was reasonably sore and I was a complete punter at the orienteering - took my eye off the ball far too many times so I puntered into 4th M40 spot (pah!). Still, nice sunny day, some interesting sites on the run (seen at punter pace) and an ice cream to finish ;-).

Solid weekend for J9 ;-)
