Janine was walking in the Balquidder area for the day so I came up with the bright idea of eventually taking the kids to Callendar playpark and meeting her there so I could ride home from there.

Weather and wind not in my favour - but sod it!
Callander, Loch Venechar, Dukes Pass (got a real soaking), Aberfoyle, Thornhill, Doune, Home.

Stopped to admire the new David Marshall Lodge (opens tomorrow) and new Aberfoyle Office (thank you Scottish Government for throwing us 100s of thousands for shovel-ready projects ;-) and Rhynaclach Starter Farm (Don't ask...
Could have stopped in Doune - had no fuel and felt like that fish on a bicycle thereafter...

After a long day with the family at Glasgow Science Centre (fab!) I got my window of opportunity.
Didn't give myself much time to back out of this but also keen to try out the calves.

Home - Dumyat - Home

Pleased to have run without pauses or zig-zags on the climb and enjoying the peace (empty hill just post mega downpour).

Startled by a lone Highlan' Coo coming over the first top ;-)

ITB's snagging on the Glen Road section but nothing to be concerned about. Fun!

Jog in the back woods to try out the calf.
Slowly on the mend thanks to regular deep tissue massage and lots of stretching.
Rest of me felt terrible!
