Orienteering 1:03:47 [3]

TAKAS Day 3.
Feeling stiff and tired today and having second thoughts about running. Wish I had - got warmed up OK but put my bad leg down a rabbit hole or something 2/3 of way round and re-tore my calf. Not as bad as originial injury and I lumbered round the rest - end of my running for the week.

Orienteering race 36:57 [4]

TAKAS Day 2.
Feeling braver today so attacked it. Happy with the run apart from being beaten on the run-in by the 2nd placed guy, so in 3rd place today.

Orienteering 10:00 [2]

TAKAS Sprint Knock-out in Zarasai Town.
I had asked Greg Hull to take my run but he wasn't in the mood so I appeared in trousers and evening shirt to run. Managed to qualify into the next round! First 15 back got a map and could carry on, then the first 8 back got a map and then the first 4 made the final - a continous race - great idea. I passed my 2nd map to Geoff Hensman who was similarly dressed to me.

Run 55:00 [4]

Run from work over Tay and up into Kinnoull Hill. Made it to the top today - to enjoy fine sunny 360* views. Lots of elephant tracks from yesterday's Jamie Stevenson Trophy event. It's quite a climb... and my calf wasn't too happy about it... Lovely wood to have on your doorstep.
