Mountain Bike 1:34:00 [2] 17.0 km (5:32 / km) +300m 5:05 / km

Stayed over at Urr Lodge Hostel and had basic grub at the Laurie Arms.
Then we had a family bike trip round the larger tracks in Dalbeattie - Marcus towing Matthew in a buggy. All going well until the bumps got too much for M after about 70 mins. Some food sorted him out and we made it back. Took M round a small loop on his balance bike after.
A good sunny day and nice to be out pottering.

Orienteering race 1:02:09 [5] 7.8 km (7:58 / km) +165m 7:12 / km
ahr:162 max:172

SOL 2, Dalbeattie.
Leg hs settled down but still swollen around so not so sure about being able to complete this one. Did a decent warm up and actually felt OK so attacked the course from the start. First third were out and round track runs so pretty full on - pretty clean all the way round apart from hunting for no 4 which was placed on the wrong knoll (why doesn't anyone initially believe me when I tell them!!!). Enjoying the change of pace round the open and then a good little scrappy loop to finish. Pleased.
Rob Lee going exceptionally well for an M50 to be only 2.5 mins behind.
Spent the afternoon at the beack at Rockliffe - excellent!

Note
(injured)

Shin splint trouble.
After chatting to a colleague about shoes and injuries last night I end up with right shin trouble - probably due to new trainers and running on unsuitable surfaces (road and downhill).
Ice, ibuprofen, stretching and rest....

FVO run from Stirling Uni.
Some loops of Abbey Craig - legs shot through.
Food at the Bridge Inn helped.

Orienteering race 44:51 [5] 5.0 km (8:58 / km)
ahr:163 max:174

JK Relay
In a crack 120 team with Goddard and Dean.
Rog ran a blinder only to be beaten by Cherry cheat for INT - what a ringer!
Dixie did his job and left me trying to catch Rob Lee in 2nd place. All going OK (little did I realise that actually Rob was going better than me!) I made a gross miss 2/3 of the way round when I dropped off the slope and crossed what i thought was the track on the map - but it was a smaller ride and I undershot big time - 3 mins lost.
Pushed on but really tired, feeling like I'd really let the side down. Pleased to find I'd only let one team passed (BAOC and Barrett) and so happy to settle for 3rd (and still ahead of SYO ;-).
